Quick answer
For most tall guys at 6'0"–6'4", Gymshark's Large in tops gives you the chest fit but the body length is borderline — size up to XL if you're toward the top of that range, especially in tanks and t-shirts. Bottoms generally run true; the trickier dimension is inseam, not waist.
Tops — the body-length problem
Most Gymshark men's tops are cut for around a 5'10" frame. At 6'+, you'll see this in:
- Hem rides up when you reach overhead. A noticeable issue on the Vital Seamless line.
- Sleeves run short on long-armed lifters (you'll see a gap at the elbow on the long-sleeve options).
- Fitted cuts get aggressive across the chest before the hem ever reaches your waistband.
Tip: if a piece comes in a "Long" version, take it. If not, size up one and accept slightly looser shoulders to get the body length.
Pieces I recommend for tall guys
For pieces that don't betray your height, here's where I'd start (sized up where I note it):
- Vital Seamless T-Shirt — XL. Best body-length-to-fit ratio in the men's lineup. Sized up one from my usual.
- Sport Stringer Tank — L. Works on a long torso without the hem stretching weird at the front.
- Studio Joggers (long inseam where available). Tapered enough to look intentional, doesn't ride up at the ankle.
- Apex 7" Shorts. Lands at mid-thigh on a 6'2"+ frame — short enough not to bunch on hack squats, long enough to hide a quad pump.
- Crest Pullover Hoodie — XL. Body length covers a long torso. Sleeves are just-enough; if you're past 6'4" the cuff sits a little high.
