The short verdict
The Vital Seamless line is the best fabric Gymshark currently makes for hypertrophy training. The seamless construction holds up to set after set, the fit is unforgiving in a way that flatters most builds, and the SS26 colors are sharp. Tradeoffs: body length runs short on tall guys, and it's not the most durable for grappling or anything contact.
Fabric & construction
The Vital fabric is a high-stretch, low-thickness blend — translucent in the lightest colorways (worth knowing if you're eyeing white or cream), opaque in saturated tones like the SS26 red and blue. Seamless construction means no rib tape, no chafing on the sides through a long set, and no stitching that bunches under shoulder straps. Holds up to repeat washes if you skip the dryer.
Fit
I run XL in the t-shirt and L in the tank — sized up one from my baseline, because the body length is cut for someone closer to 5'10" than 6'+. Chest fits true; the slimmer cut shows through clean if you've put real work into your back. If you're between sizes, size up. The fabric stretches enough to forgive a looser fit, but it can't add length to a hem that isn't there.
Sizing recommendation
If you're at the upper end of your usual size, size up. The Vital line is cut on the slimmer side and the body length runs short — particularly on the t-shirt. More on sizing for tall guys here →
What's new in SS26
The SS26 drop refreshes the colorways — the GS Brand Blue and the new red are the standouts. The cut on the men's tank changed slightly; the armhole sits a touch lower than the previous generation, which I prefer.
